Hawaii House of Representatives’ Angus McKelvey and West Maui Taxpayers Association president Joe Pluta will discuss issues facing residents in the area in a live talk story.
President of Maui Chamber of Commerce, Pamela Turnpap, will interview the guest speakers on the “Business Matters” radio show, which airs on Tuesday at 7:05 a.m. on KAOI 1110AM with a rebroadcast happening Friday at noon.
The show hosts leaders in the Maui community to share insight on sustainable efforts embracing the island’s economy, environment, social wellbeing and culture.
McKelvey will be revealing his thoughts on the challenges that West Maui businesses are facing, affordable housing and rentals, and the potential of a West Maui hospital.
Pluta will also be discussing affordable housing and rentals, what he thinks of a West Maui hospital, as well as airing his concerns on infrastructure and rising sea levels in West Maui.
Each week, the radio show features a small business segment providing an opportunity for the audience to learn about the passions of a local manufacturer.
This week, Erica Erickson, the owner of Maui Honey Bee Sanctuary D.B.A Da Beehive, gives a history of her business and tells the community about new products and special offers, how to find them, and where to learn more.
