PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — If you don’t have plans this weekend, head on over to Chase Field! The Arizona Diamondbacks will be holding a variety of events open to the public Friday through Sunday.
On Friday night, the D-backs will be hosting the Give Back Broadcast Fundraiser. The D-Backs will be partnering with Bally Sports Arizona to raise money to support the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. The fundraiser will allow fans to purchase memorabilia to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the 2001 World Series Championship. All donations will go to benefit the foundation.
Fans can begin buying memorabilia during the pregame show at 6 p.m. and items will be available until they are sold out or the end of the post-game show. Fans can receive an authentic pinstripe jersey, autographed by Luis Gonzalez, Randy Johnson, or Mark Grace, a Louisville bat autographed by Gonzalez, and more. A full list of memorabilia can be found at mlb.com/dbacks.
On Saturday, the first 10,000 fans attending the game will receive a 20th Anniversary World Series Championship replica shirt. There will also be a special salute to the 2001 postseason on DBTV inside Chase Field. To top off Friday and Saturday’s games, there will also be post-game fireworks!
On Sunday, the D-Backs will be honoring Childhood Cancer Awareness Day by donating to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This year, the Diamondbacks purchased a robot to allow kids at the hospital to virtually visit players at Chase Field.
