Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, received her first dose of the coronavirus vaccine at London’s Science Museum on Friday.
The wife of Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge shared a photo Saturday from the royal couple’s official Twitter account of her getting the jab the day before.
“I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout – thank you for everything you are doing,” she wrote.

The announcement comes a week after William shared that he had received his first shot at the same museum.
Neither the prince nor the duchess said which coronavirus vaccine they had received.
Currently, the two-dose inoculations from Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca and Moderna are being distributed throughout the United Kingdom, and Britain’s health regulatory body on Friday approved the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine for use among residents aged 18 and older.
William tested positive for COVID-19 last April, around the same time his father, Prince Charles, was infected, though the duke reportedly kept his diagnosis a secret for fear of alarming the country.
British tabloid The Sun reported last November that William, 38, was “struggling to breathe” while he was infected and was treated by palace doctors and self-quarantined at his country estate in Norfolk.
It was not clear at the time if Kate was infected as well.
Queen Elizabeth II received her COVID-19 vaccination at Windsor Castle in January alongside her now-late husband, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
The queen said in a video call with British health officials after receiving the shot, “Once you’ve had a vaccine, you have a feeling of you’re protected, which is, I think, very important, and, as far as I could make out, it was quite harmless.”
Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, were both vaccinated in February.
