Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka will at last open to the public on 18th March 2021.
The general opening of the area has been repeatedly delayed due to the effects of the pandemic, and comes almost a year behind schedule.
Nintendo announced the 18th March date this morning via its official Twitter , accompanied by an image showing guests leaping over its landmarks while wearing a selection of face masks.
The last we had heard of the park’s opening was that it had been delayed indefinitely back in January – although media tours have still taken place.
New hygiene measures for Universal Studios Japan include mandatory mask-wearing, reduced capacity and numbered tickets to spread out the arrival of guests into Super Nintendo World.

Across the Pacific, Super Nintendo World Orlando is now reportedly aiming for a 2025 opening, while construction continues on another park in California.
